Ms. Uvie Omimi-Egbonkumo has been actively involved in community engagement at local, national and international level for the past 5 years and she brings to OIGO role a wealth of knowledge and undeniable experience. In the past, she has coordinated community engagements under legislative projects of the Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with inestimable commitment and resounding success stories.
She believes that today’s conventional approach to community engagement requires leadership of traditional institutions which can inject motivation and winning ethos. She joins OIGO with a versed pedigree. She holds a remarkable degree qualification in Law. Uvie has enjoyed a result-oriented legal professional with several years of consultancy experience in corporate law, family law and humanitarian law. She is adept at problem-solving and demonstrates high level skills at improving and evolving processes. She also possesses remarkable decision-making skills and regularly advises clients on achieving set goals, efficiently and judiciously.
Uvie is passionate about innovation, sustainable growth and development. In her career as a legal consultant, she has served in several roles in developing the business of agriculture in Nigeria, including advising as one of the facilitators on the expert committee coordinated by the National Assembly of Nigeria in 2016 to organize the funding of specific Agricultural initiatives and projects.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Uvie is an avid reader and takes great pleasure in nature and natural environments. She wears many hats as a multi-linguist, a lover of life, art and music. She is inspiring, goal getter, and very passionate about improving opportunities for African students across a range of activities.
